Frequently Asked Questions
Where & when are your events held?
In response to COVID-19, we have postponed all in-person readings for the foreseeable future.
Generally, our readings are at the Steinfeld Warehouse Community Arts Space, 101 W 6th St, on the northern edge of downtown Tucson, on Sixth St just east of Stone Ave.
However, stay tuned to our POG Events page because sometimes we move around, in order to serve particular events and audiences better. We have approximately one reading a month from October through May, and most readings are on Saturday nights at 7pm.
Do you charge admission for your readings?
Unless otherwise specified, we ask general attendees for $5 at the door and charge $3 for students. You can pay by cash or card. However, we will never turn anyone away. If you are unable to afford admission, please simply tell the door attendant, “I’ll make my donation next time.” All of us need poetry and art.
Can I help POG in some way
Of course! POG always looks for talented interns and volunteers to help set up readings, manage the sound recordings, work on our web site, help with grant writing, and contact presenters. In addition, you might be a good candidate for our board of directors. We also welcome contributions to help with our mission. Please visit our Support & Membership page to make a donation.
